How to Apply

Airdrie Housing Limited’s Affordable Rental Program provides homes for reduced rent to individuals and families who qualify based on gross income. Affordable rents are set at 10-20% below market value:

Studio Units-Available at East Lake Apartments-Rent is set at 30% of Gross Income
1-bedroom unit rents range between $740-$904
2-bedroom unit rents range between $922-$1,061
3-bedroom unit rents are $1,179

Rents may be further reduced if tenants apply for and are approved for the Rent Assistance Benefit program offered through the Rockyview Foundation.

Subsidized Housing

What to Expect

After submitting an application to Airdrie Housing Limited—applicants will be contacted by email to confirm the outcome of their application. If approved, the household will be placed on the Airdrie Housing Limited waitlist for the appropriate unit size based on household occupancy.

When a unit becomes available, households are contacted by email in priority order, which is determined by the original application approval date. The overall average wait time for a unit within Airdrie Housing programming is greater than one year; however, wait times for three-bedroom units may be substantially longer due to limited inventory.

Households on the waitlist will be contacted by email once every 365 days to update their application status and to confirm that they continue to meet the eligibility criteria of the program. If a household no longer meets the eligibility requirements or fails to submit the requested documentation within the specified timeframe, their name(s) will be removed from the waitlist, and they will no longer be eligible for housing through the program.

Of the 82 units owned by Airdrie Housing Limited, 25 are studio units, 29 are one-bedroom units, 25 are two-bedroom units, and 3 are three-bedroom units. Our properties are located throughout Airdrie in close proximity to schools, shopping, and employment opportunities.

Monthly rents range from $740 to $1,179. Rent for most units includes the majority of utilities. Tenants are responsible for electricity (mandatory), as well as internet, cable, and telephone services (optional).
